Alexander Sokolov is a visualization artist based in Los Angeles, California. Born in the USSR, he was one of the first artists to develop previs/postvis workflows in the country. Alex worked on pre-production of Timur Bekmambetov’s blockbusters Day Watch and Wanted.
In the US, he is best known for his work on Emmy Award-winning Stranger Things and Rescue Rangers, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Terminator: Dark Fate, and Jumanji: The Next Level. He made previsualization for the Olympic Games in Vancouver (2010) and Sochi (2014). Also, he visualized the most epic sequences of Baahubali 2 and the Academy Award-winning RRR directed by S.S. Rajamouli.
Alexander is a New York Film Academy graduate and loves to work in action/sci-fi genres. He is a member of the Art Directors Guild and the Visual Effects Society.
