President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev launched the international exhibition “Astana Expo-2017” on 9 June 2017 in Astana.

The official part of the opening ceremony was held at the Congress Center of the Expo. Following the ceremony, the participants enjoyed the concert program that took place in the Amphitheater. At the end of the event, the audience was shown the laser projection on the sphere and a bundle of big fireworks.

Heads of state and heads of government of 21 countries, including President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman, Chairman of the People`s Republic of China Xi Jinping, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, King of Spain Philip VI, as well as heads of international organizations like UN Secretary-General António Guterres and high-level officials took part in the ceremony.
